大熊工業のラジオ番組『笑顔のデザイン』にゲスト出演

I Love lot of things about Japan and its culture, one of this is the connection between the old and the new.
When you walk in Tokyo you can easely find an old Temple in symbiosis between nature and modern building and this for me is amazing and I love it!

日本と、日本の持つ独特なカルチャーが大好き！その中でも僕が最も愛してやまないもの、それは「古いものと新しいものとが共存していること」。東京の街を歩くと目に飛び込んでる古い神社。そしてそれは周囲の自然とモダンな建物の合間に不思議と溶け込んでいるのです。

In August during my Japanese trip I go to visited new and old Tokyo site and I will give my point of view.

毎年恒例、8月の僕のジャパニーズトリップ。今回も東京エリアの新しい、そして古いものを探す旅となったのでちょっとご紹介します。

My Journey in Tokyo started with Shibuyacross-Fm! The radio experience had started from Taipei and landed on early morning in Tokyo … I made the immigration check and change my clothes in the airport’s dressing room for children and families…

今年の日本旅のスタートはいつもとはちょっと変わっており、渋谷クロスＦＭのスタジオからスタート！このラジオ出演のため、台北から早朝東京に到着したその足で渋谷へと向かいました。滞在先へスーツケースも置く時間もなかったため、成田に着きイミグレーションを通過した後、授乳室で服を着替えさせてもらいました。

Arrived in Shibuyacross-Fm studio I meet Harue san, the super lady that had perfectly organized the event, and Momoko san the really good MC who guided us with her voice throughout the episode.

渋谷クロスＦＭスタジオでこのイベントをパーフェクトに切り盛りしているスーパーレディ・ハルエさんも一緒に出演し、この番組のＭＣ・モモコさんから上手にエピソードを引き出してもらいました。

I was so worried about not being able to say anything… because I don’t speak well Japanese and because I didn’t sleep during the trip, but I must be great at these two angels because helped me a lot.

番組出演が決まった当初、何も語れないのでは・・・という心配のままスタートしたこのラジオ出演。ただでさえ日本語がまだうまく話せないのに旅行中で台湾からのフライトも寝ておらずドキドキでしたが、このふたりの天使に救われ、無事にこの事態を乗り切ったのでした！

We talking about Kaja Design work and our collaboration Italy during Salone del Mobile and if you now are reading this blog and haven’t seen the video of the episode you must do it because is really fun and we laughed throughout the episode. The hour had passed really fast…maybe too fast!

僕たちはカジャデザインのお仕事や僕がお手伝いしているイタリアの家具の見本市「サローネ・デル・モービレ」でのエピソードなどを語りました。もしこのブログを見ている方でまだこのラジオの動画をご覧になっていない方がいればぜひご覧ください！エピソードを語っている番組の最中も笑いが絶えない収録だったのです。1時間があっという間に過ぎてしまいました。

ずっと会いたかった建造物、東京カテドラル聖マリア大聖堂

This time during my Journey I want visit architectural structures, the first step is the St. Mary’s Cathedral located in 3-15-16 Sekiguchi, Bunkyo-ku.

そして今年はかねてから行ってみたかった建造物にやっと出会うことができました。東京街歩きの最初のポイントは文京区にある東京カテドラル聖マリア大聖堂。

The old structure was made in wood and constructed in 1899, but during the WW2 was destroyed in a air raid. The new Church are designed by Kenzo Tange and the structure by studio Tsuboi, the construction has been completed in 1964.

1899年に建てられたこの教会、かつては木造建築でしたが第二次世界大戦のさなかに焼失してしまったのです。その後しばらく経った後、新教会が丹下健三によりデザインされ、坪井研究所が構造設計を行い1964年に竣工を迎えたのです。

I like so much because the shape and materials, concrete and Stainless steel, are modern but they match perfeclty with Cristian spirit.The Church’s layout in the shape of a cross start from the base an rises parabolic to form a cross light.

この教会のシェイプとコンクリートとステンレスというマテリアルがとても気に入りました。モダンなのにクリスチャンスピリットとパーフェクトにマッチしていることが肌で感じ取れます。
